What to Expect
Ancient woodland with stunning views of the River Exe and a labyrinth of paths. The viewpoint looks towards what may be 'Barton Park' from Jane Austen's novel - 'four miles northward of Exeter'. Paths are hilly with bracken at ankle height in summer.

Two FREE car parks: Pennsylvania Road (EX4 5BN) is the main one. Also accessible from Stoke Road. From Exeter take the A396 Tiverton road, about 1 mile after Cowley Bridge turn right into the signposted car park.
Dogs can run off-lead throughout the woods. Great enclosed woodland for off-lead adventures.
